pkgsrc if you're down bad ig but pkgsrc is a finely-moulded Nothing. which is good for the type of system and installation model pkgsrc targets. so in 120% of the C Package Manager :) cases you're better off doing a pkgsrc package because it has a chance to actually be worthwhile

uuh. you're not gonna get an i386 triple for linux for the very simple reason that linux hasn't supported i386 for years now. if the program is expecting a specific (i[3456]86-) arch single then it's broken because different distributions call their i686 ABI different things
