hg branch starts off with "(branches are permanent and global, did you want a bookmark?)", which makes no sense (what does "permanent and global" mean?), and hardly inspires confidence
this continued with most hg ops requiring a force/"just do what was typed in, crissake" option
Replying to @ludovicchabant
i finally found how you list branches just now and it turns out I'm missing three of the ones I pushed to http://hg.sr.ht somehow? I'm not sure how I'd get them back, if, e.g., a reviewer requested a reroll, or if mercurial would let me
Replying to @ludovicchabant
rewriting history (à la rebase/amend) turned out to be an unsolvable problem too, so i turned to stripping, saving the diffs and reapplying them by hand
all in all, mercurial felt like it was actively trying to discourage me from using it to do what I wanted, so not a good time
what can i say, i was drunk for most of this weekend, and sometimes (most of the time) that's just what you need to deal with libgit2 and CSS

Replying to @nabijaczleweli
upon closer inspexion, it looks like sd-modules-load is passing PROC_CMDLINE_STRIP_RD_PREFIX to proc_cmdline_parse() which makes that use (appear to be, at least) correct
