Guess what happens when you try to invoke Array.join() in Firefox from a WebExtension.
If you guessed "you get TypeError originating, for some insane reason, from ext-webNavigation.js, which tries to use the browser chrome for some even more eldritch reason" then you're in *luck*

And now in she goes into the whatever that thing's called, who the fuck knows, yielding sub-par, localised browning, cutting quite well with acceptable separation and pull, but it also just crumbles unsettlingly.
This calls for the backup egg!

With the second egg this is now the consistency of mostly-cooked tomato sauce, and I'm pretty sure I've committed a grave mistake somewhere

Better browning this time, okay separation, still crumbly, still lacking.
The best part of this were the severestly cooked parts in the overflow, so this Device is a failure en general.

This deathly contraption was, by all accounts, a surprisingly (non?)resounding success! Which is to say, that, over the best part of two hours' using the PSU to run that tape, the fan, when it kicked in, was quieter than its cooling of my knee.

I'd intended on slapping some cork under there, but this leftover foam was closer to the front of the wardrobe, so into chonks (with a small one stuffed in afterward) it goes, and under my expert three-screw mounting solution because the marker interfered with the output terminal

Unbagging time, and this tape seems to come with free goop (the IP65 rating's good for something at least, though sanding it matte didn't make for a good diffuser), and soldered together every half-meter, a fortuitous coincidence, given that I need exactly 19 pieces for this run!
